Apiary Sound
Without bees there would be no flowers and without flowers there would be no bees.
This was the thought that went through business founder Richard Goodwin's head when he conceptualised Apiary Sound. Much like the relationship between bees and flowers, musicians need audio engineers to record and mix good music and audio engineers need musicians to record.
This relationship between musicians and recording engineers is what brings us a world of emotions from the happy music of Pharrell Williams to the emotional tones of Sam Smith. The mission of Apiary Sound is to help us continue to enjoy this emotional rollercoaster that is music by helping young talented bands and artists record their music and get it out in the world to tell their own emotional story.
So what sets us apart from the rest of the studios in New Zealand? Apiary Sound will work closely with artists to record their music and publicise them and their music across New Zealand at an affordable price, taking them from the local pub to stadiums across the country.

EP and Demo
Recording
EP's and Demo recordings are our specialty. If you want an EP or Demo recorded mixed and mastered at less than the cost of simply hiring a studio, then Apiary Sound is the place for you. Our friendly professional audio engineers will work with you at our home studio without compromising on the quality of your sound. Our collection of Waves plugins provides clean analogue emulated audio recorded directly into Pro Tools by one of our Avid Certified Engineers.
Mixing and Mastering
When it comes to mixing and mastering music, Apiary Sound is right at home. Having spent the past three years studying the best techniques for mixing various genres of music either of the two mixing and mastering engineers will provide a product that we are certain you'll be happy with and if not, we will listen to your requests to achieve your desired sound.
